Prescott Real Estate Market Update: September 2026
Prescott's median sold price was $589,950 in September 2026, with homes taking a median of 51 days to sell. Here's what that means if you're relocating to Prescott.

Happy October! The Prescott Area Association of Realtors released its September numbers, and here's my quick take for anyone thinking about relocating to Prescott.
The numbers
- Prescott: 128 homes sold, a median sold price of $589,950, and a median of 51 days on market. There are 5.2 months of inventory.
- Prescott Valley: 100 homes sold at a $494,000 median, 39 median days on market, and 3.5 months of inventory.
- Chino Valley: 35 homes sold at a $444,900 median, with 39 median days on market.
- All PAAR areas: 335 homes sold at a $480,000 median and 46 median days on market.
What it means for buyers moving to Prescott
With about five months of inventory in Prescott, buyers have more choice and a bit more time than we saw a few years ago. Homes are taking a little longer to sell, which can mean room to negotiate, especially on homes that have been sitting.
Keep in mind that medians include every price point. If you're shopping between $800,000 and $2 million, the market looks different community by community. Some neighborhoods, like High Valley Ranch, rarely have anything come up at all.
What I'd do right now
If you're planning a move in the next six to twelve months, now is a great time to get pre-approved (or have proof of funds ready) and narrow down your areas. Take my neighborhood quiz or browse the neighborhood map, and then let's talk about what's actually available.
