New Construction Homes in Prescott, AZ: 3 Communities My Clients Love
Stringfield, Hidden Hills and Granite Dells Estates. The three new construction areas my relocation clients are gravitating toward right now.

Prescott has no shortage of beautiful neighborhoods, but if you want a brand-new home, a few communities stand out. These are the three new construction areas my relocation clients are gravitating toward right now, and what makes each one different.
1. Stringfield
Stringfield is the most exciting new subdivision rolling out in Prescott. It comes from the same developer behind American Ranch and Prescott Lakes, two of Prescott's most established communities, and it sits off Williamson Valley Road.
Stringfield offers both custom home lots and semi-custom homes with an award-winning builder, and the views are stunning. Because it's so new, lots are still being prepared and wait times can run over a year. If you're planning ahead, it's well worth it.
2. Hidden Hills
Hidden Hills sits off Pioneer Parkway, between views of the Granite Dells and Granite Mountain. You're minutes from downtown but surrounded by trails, which makes it a great fit for an active, outdoor lifestyle. Many homes here include RV garages, which is one of the most common requests I hear.
3. Granite Dells Estates
Granite Dells Estates is a beautiful master-planned community with several builders, custom home sites, and a stunning clubhouse. You don't need a golf membership to enjoy the amenities, and the views of the famous Dells are some of the best in town.
One product line I especially like here is Woodside Homes' Summit Collection: larger lots, single-level living, and open floor plans. Those homes start in the high $800s and typically finish between $1 million and $1.2 million with the lot and upgrades.
What to ask before you build or buy new
- Who is the builder? Builder reputation matters. As a local, I know which builders' homes hold up over time and how each community has aged.
- How long is the wait? Some communities have move-in-ready homes, while others have lots still being prepared.
- What's included? Lot premiums and upgrades can change the final price, so compare finished prices, not base prices.
- Do you need room for toys? If an RV, boat, or extra cars are part of the plan, look for an RV garage or an oversized lot from the start.
